Technology to corporates

Spinning off technology to corporates through licensing and sales is a major part of bringing technology from the laboratories into the real world.

When researchers and established companies join forces to solve problems, it can have significant impact for the companies as well as the university. This generates valuable inventions and results that can be used to protect and make new innovative products and solutions.

By licensing technology, a company can get a long-term and exclusive access to the DTU invention and IPR, allowing the company to invest in the further development and commercialisation of the technology and product.

These companies often continue to collaborate with DTU, thereby utilising the university’s strong competences and providing additional research funding. Together, they make technology matter.

DTU researchers continuously engage in over 1600 active industry collaborations.
